WOD: 2-28-13

Skill: Kipping

Warm Up: 4 rounds of:

8 Deadhang Pull Ups (or L- Pull Ups)
8 Strict Toes to Bar

Both exercises unbroken

WOD L1: For most reps:

80 unbroken Wall Balls (14/10).  Once broken, 20 Burpee penalty, and then continue

5 min time limit. Rest 2 minutes

80 unbroken Kettlebell Swings (20/12).  Once broken, 20 Burpee penalty, and then continue

5 min time limit. Rest 2 minutes

60 Double Unders (1 mess up allowed).  Once broken, 20 Burpee penalty, and then continue

5 min time limit.

WOD L2:  The Warm Up:  For most reps:

100 unbroken Wall Balls (20/14).  Once broken, 20 Burpee penalty, and then continue

5 min time limit. Rest 2 minutes

100 unbroken Kettlebell Swings (24/16).  Once broken, 20 Burpee penalty, and then continue

5 min time limit. Rest 2 minutes

100 Double Unders (1 mess up allowed).  Once broken, 20 Burpee penalty, and then continue

5 min time limit. Rest 2 minutes

I know what you are thinking…

Wow, could this workout get any easier?!  The answer to that is yes!  Absolutely yes in fact.  Imagine if the workout were to not have any Burpee penalties at all.  Now pretend that once you break up a set, you don’t just pay in 20 Burpees and keep going, instead you finish the remainder of your set as Burpees!!!  How much easier would it be if you got through 36 Wall Balls, then stopped, and then had to do 64 Burpees on the first of four parts of the workout!  Imagine how casual you would be when having messed up twice in Double Unders after only 3 reps.  Those 97 Burpees would appear just way too pillow-fight-esque.  Instead you are stuck with this harder workout whose punishment is a scaled version of what was originally planned.  What a bummer…
